All times on TheBRB.uk are calculated astronomically for your city's exact coordinates using the Moonsighting Committee method, which is widely regarded as the most suitable method for high-latitude countries like the UK, where twilight can persist all night in midsummer. Asr is shown for both the standard (Shafi'i/Maliki/Hanbali) and Hanafi conventions.
Individual mosques may adjust times by a few minutes for congregational convenience — jamaa'ah times are set locally, so always check with your masjid for congregation times. For the beginning times of each prayer, the calculations here are accurate for the city centre coordinates listed on each page.
